30 Best ENFP Anime Characters Ultimate List

Posted on January 29, 2022

Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers are the founders of the MBTI® system. Though neither had been to college, their fascination with psychology led them to create one comprehensive personality-typing system. Plus, they made it super easy for people to figure out which four-letter MBTI® type they are!

The ENFP anime character classifier is a quick and fun way to discover the typical personality traits of your favourite characters. Your four-letter type is generated using a simple, four-question quiz. It’s perfect for fans of all genres who are curious about the personalities of their favourite characters. There are tons of Anime Characters personality types, so have fun with it!

1/30. Son Goku (Dragon Ball Z)

There’s something about Son Goku, the optimistic ENFP type, that captures the imagination of so many anime fans. Goku is an outgoing, free-spirited fellow who values direct communication and the opinions of others. He has a close group of friends and loves to go on adventures with them. As a result, he has a stronger sense of himself than most other ENFPs do.

2/30. Camie Utsushimi (My Hero Academia)

Camie Utsushimi is a feisty young woman from the anime series My Hero Academia. She’s so fun to be around—she can sometimes talk for hours about nothing, and loves to share stories about herself with others. Although she’s extremely energetic and sometimes off-putting, most people think she’s just quirky, not annoying.

3/30. Misato Katsuragi (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Misato Katsuragi is a classic example of the “troubled” ENFP type, similar to Obito. At first glance, she seems to have it all: brains, beauty and a perfect body (which she shows off). But Katsuragi hides her past and protects herself through building small connections with others.

4/30. Narumi Momose (Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku)

Narumi talks loud and proud, but she’s the type of person who relates to you no matter who you are. She remembers birthdays, remembers the little things, remembers how your day has been. She’s not afraid to give you a hard time for teasing her about her hobbies (like anime!). With her by your side, a good day will seem a bit brighter.

5/30. Kamina (Gurren Lagann)

Kamina is the ENFP of anime characters. He’s fiercely loyal, hard-working, and thrives on having the best times he can. He loves a good challenge, and would do anything for his friends — but he does have rules (however few). Though he’s pretty laid back, once you cross one of his boundaries, he’ll make sure to put you in your place.

6/30. Touta Matsuda (Death Note)

One character who really stands out in “Death Note” is Touta Matsuda. He says he’s an ENFP, and makes his point well. But if you want to get nitpicky, you could say that he’s more of an INFP (Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving). As a police officer, he appreciates teamwork, welcomes the contributions of others, and makes decisions based on what he believes in at the time.

7/30. Lucy Heartfilia (Fairy Tail)

Lucy Heartfilia is the perfect example of an ENFP – she loves to make friends and her outgoing, caring persona makes her stick out in a crowd. Sometimes, though, all this can wear her down— but she’ll be right back up again, ready to go on another adventure.

8/30. Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and member of one of the four Emperors in East Blue is often called an ENFP. As his personality goes, he’s a fun-loving guy with a strong sense of what is right. He always has a smile on his face, and is quick to throw his arm around someone who might be feeling down.

9/30. Reki Kyan (Sk8 the Infinity)

Reki Kyan is an emotional roller coaster. As an ENFP, it’s only normal. But the thing about Reki is that he wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to his friends and his passion for skateboarding. He feels passionately about a lot of things, but when times get tough, Kyan can’t seem to deal with what’s happening around him, and he runs from those closest to him.

10/30. Spirit Albarn (Soul Eater)

Spirit is adorable, but he’s also a bit of a weirdo. He can be silly, or even downright dumb at times. But despite his goofiness, Spirit is loyal to his friends both in and out of battle — he’s just the type who’d rather take things less seriously all around. He isn’t exactly self-sacrificing, but he’ll stick by someone or something he cares about if he thinks it’s worth it.

11/30. Kiki (Kiki’s Delivery Service)

Kiki is house-trained. Kiki, at the tender age of thirteen, takes flight from home to pursue a career as a witch-in-training. Only problem is that she’s never left the nest before — so when she encounters unfamiliar territory or finds herself lost, this little witch turns on her gut feeling and taps into her inner power to get where she needs to go.

12/30. Mako Mankanshoku (Kill la Kill)

Mako Mankanshoku is a great example of the ENFP protagonist. While she’s incredibly skilled at what she does and driven to fight, she’s also willing to form friendships with others— often those who have helped her in the past. She has trust issues due to past experiences, but she nonetheless manages to show her affection for others when they’re around. She’s a boisterous and outgoing character who is sure to leave her mark on you.

13/30. Yui Hirasawa (K-On!)

Yui Hirasawa is the unassuming ENFP you’ve been looking for — her kind and sweet nature makes her instantly likable. Don’t be fooled by her maturity, though— she’s a total goofball who isn’t afraid to laugh at herself or others. She sees people for their potential, not out of a desire to be proven right, and wants to make sure everyone is included and feels important.

14/30. Obito Uchiha (Naruto)

Sometimes, the people who come across hardest are actually the kindest at heart. This was certainly true for Obito from Naruto Shippuden . While he always seemed like a grouchy, pessimistic jerk to everyone except his team members, that was his way of camouflaging his insecurities. He didn’t want anyone else to see that he was insecure.

15/30. Kaoru Kurita (Wonder Egg Priority)

Kaoru Kurita was a third-year student in Hoshinoumi Academy’s Female Department. Possessing a strong drive and persistence, Kaoru longs to graduate and leave his home of the past 15 years. His determination finally pays off when he meets Momoe Okonogi, a stubborn girl with an interest in gardening. Kaoru’s personality is such that it brings out the best in Momoe.

16/30. Kaori Miyazono (ShigatsuWaKimi)

Kaori is a free spirit who values her independence. She thrives on spontaneity, and would rather shock people with her abrupt behavior than be predictable. Kaori has an intense dislike for being hemmed in by others’ expectations, exemplified by the fact that she can be completely spontaneous one second and all business the next.

17/30. Miyazono Kaori (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso)

The famous anime character Kaori Miyazono is a great example of the ENFP personality type. As a free-spirited, innovative musician, Kaori embodies many of the strengths of the ENFP. She often flouts rules and challenges traditions without even thinking; it’s her creative intuition that motivates her to do so. But most importantly, her deep emotional side is always on prominent display. And isn’t that what ENFPs are all about?

18/30. Chitanda Eru (Hyouka)

Chitanda is what happens when you mix Captain Planet. A little ditzy and a lot naive, she wants to make the world a better place and has a hard time understanding why bad things do happen. She’s so happy when she’s learning something new that she tends to forget about the outside world and anything that detracts from learning.

19/30. Oden Kozuki (One Piece)

The ENFP is known for its virtuous characteristics and leadership skills, which we see in Oden. A benevolent king, he emerges as the adult version of his younger self. This leads to an additional reputation as a wise leader, principled and inspiring. The INFP has a strong introverted feeling function and can be found in individuals who value peace and harmony.

20/30. Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)

Usagi Tsukino is a free-spirited xNFP, impulsive and compulsive. Her great sense of morality can sometimes trip her up in situations, but she makes up for it with her friendly, open personality. I’m sure you’ll be happy to be her new best friend!

Usagi is an ENFP personality, who can always see the good in people and create a space where everyone feels welcome. ENFPs are known for their creativity, abstract thinking and willingness to listen to everyone’s opinions.

21/30. Hayley Smith (American Dad)

Hayley Smith character is very complex. She clearly sees that she is non-traditional and doesn’t have any problems confronting people about their beliefs — as we see her doing it in episodes such as “Escape from Family Dinner” and “Three Girls and a Monster”. However, she also has strong values of her own, that often conflict with the values of those around her.

22/30. Nejire Hado (My Hero Academia)

Excitable and curious, Nejire is everything you want in an anime series. She shows a lot of curiosity about learning about people and seems to be stimulated by them. She shows a great deal of empathy toward other people and respects their boundaries. Her independent spirit is infectious, and you’re much more likely to do something if she’s involved. We know that Nejire is an ENFP!

23/30. Peter Griffin (

Peter Griffin is an ENFP. There’s a reason Family Guy™ has been running for 15 years, and it’s not just because of its strong cast of characters like Family Guy himself [Peter], Meg [ISFJ], Stewie [ENTJ] or Brian [INTP]. Behind them all is the man behind the curtain, show creator Seth Macfarlane.

24/30. Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

Ariel is the main protagonist of The Little Mermaid, and the first Disney Princess. She’s one of my most favourite fictional characters — I’ve loved her ever since I was a little girl. She’s just like me: funny, optimistic, brave and outgoing. Her love for adventure makes her unstoppable when it comes to dreaming big, which is something I find so inspiring. I love everything about Ariel; she’s my total idol!

25/30. Aang (Avater: The Last Airbender)

Aang, an adventure-seeking twelve-year-old boy, is the newest incarnation of the avatar. He loves to travel and make new friends – but he’s also burdened with a huge responsibility: to maintain world balance by mastering all four elements. Unfortunately, Aang finds himself in over his head – how can he keep up with all this responsibility at such a young age? Luckily, Aang is determined to succeed and fulfill his destiny!

26/30. Runo Misaki (Bakugan: Battle Brawlers)

Runo has a lot to offer. He’s bubbly and talkative, but he also has a really interesting personality. 27/30. Connie Springer (Attack on Titan)

Connie Springer is an ENFP, a natural born people person. His bubbly personality and optimism can help motivate those around him when things look a little bleak. He’s creative and has tons of ideas; if only he could stop himself from saying the first thing that comes to his mind. While Connie likes to think he’s Superman, his flaws are unfortunately what cause most of his problems.

28/30. Rapunzel (Rapunzel)

When we first meet Rapunzel, she is a character who stands out from the crowd. Having been locked away in a tower for most of her life (which is quite unusual), it’s no wonder that she is an adventurous spirit with great curiosity and energy. She doesn’t waste time, either — when another opportunity presents itself, she grabs it with both hands. Rapunzel is definitely an ENFP.

29/30. Mako Mankanshoku (Kill La Kill)

Mako is far more than her playfulness. She shares a natural charm, and has an undeniable magnetism that pulls people in. She doesn’t care much for the material world, but she’s always looking forward to something exciting happening. When she’s not strutting her stuff on the runway, you can find her busy working on her new line of accessories! Her blog has all the info you need about that!

30/30. Chika Fujiwara (Kaguya-Sama:Love is War)

Chika’s Extraverted intuition is obvious in the way that she enjoys coming up with unique and creative games to play and theorizing about the nature of love with you. The possibilities are what excite her more than actual physical dating. The more ideas she gets, the less she can focus on just one — but you can trust that if anyone can find you a match, it’s her!
